What I collect, and what I don't.
TCDA Studio is one person. This page covers the small amount of information this website handles when you look around it or send an enquiry.
Enquiries
When you send the contact form it collects your name, email address, your business name if you add one, and your message. That's delivered straight to my inbox by Web3Forms, the service that handles the form. I use it only to reply to you and to do any work that follows. It doesn't go on a mailing list, and it isn't shared with anyone outside the studio.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It records things like the pages you view, the browser and device you're on, the site you arrived from, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address (which is truncated before it's stored). It doesn't tell me who you are, and there's no advertising or cross-site tracking. Google sets cookies to do this — you can block them in your browser settings or with a content blocker and the site works exactly the same.
Where the information goes
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, the form is handled by Web3Forms, and the analytics come from Google. These are overseas companies and may store or process this information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.
How it's kept
There's no database behind this site and no login. Enquiries live in my email, and I keep them only as long as I need them to reply and to do any work that follows, plus what I'm required to hold for tax and business records. Analytics data is retained by Google on the shortest setting available.
If you hire me
Any information I handle while building or hosting your own site — your content, and anything your visitors submit to it — is covered by our project agreement, not this page. You stay the owner of it.
Your choices
Email me any time to ask what enquiry details I still hold, to correct them, or to have them deleted. For the analytics, blocking cookies — or using a tracker blocker — stops the collection entirely. If you're not happy with how I've handled something, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
